Why I am Running
I'm running for State Auditor because it is a position that has the power to root out wasteful spending. I firmly believe that the role of Auditor has untapped potential, and as hardworking taxpayers we should demand that the State Auditor’s office be a strong force in ensuring fiscal accountability.
It’s about time the Commonwealth elects a person of the people who will work for the people. As a political outsider, I’ll be accountable to my constituents, not the Beacon Hill bureaucracy.
I am stunned by the State Auditor’s inability to play an active and aggressive role in rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse. The Auditor’s refusal to stand up and fight for taxpayers was made all the more shameful when she accepted a massive increase to her taxpayer-funded salary.
With your support, we can restore the Office of the Auditor to what it was created to be, a highly visible, highly impactful constitutional office. We, the taxpayers of the Commonwealth, deserve more! Together, we’ll ‘Give ‘Em Helen!’
I look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail.
